Bio

She teaches the core course on Indian Constitutional Law and elective course on Internal Security Law in addition to the Master’s course on Comparative Public Law (LL.M). She has been awarded with recognition as “The Phenomenal She, 2022”, by the Indian National Bar Association, New Delhi which acknowledges 100 women annually for their contribution to various fields like, art, literature, law, beauty, science etc., in India. Her achievements have also been recognised by the British Deputy High Commission, Chandigarh for contribution to the shared heritage of Indian and Britain on the occasion of 75 years of Indian independence.

She has published ten books – of which she has authored two books: Terrorism: Our World and Our Laws, (LAP Lambert, 2009) and Indian Counter Terrorism Law (Lexis Nexis, 2016); and co-edited eight books: Artificial Intelligence and Constitutionalism (Oakbridge Publishing, 2024); Arrest and Detention in India: Law, Procedure and Practice (Sage Publishing, 2022); Judicial Review: Process, Powers and Problems (Cambridge University Press, 2020); Taking Bail Seriously: State of Bail Jurisprudence in India (Lexis Nexis, 2020); Law and Artificial Intelligence (2024); Law and Media (2019) and Electoral System: Democracy, Laws and Issues (2019). She has published 91 articles in reputed journals, books, blogs, newspapers and newsletters and has lectured at international and national forums.
