Bio
She has worked in various roles and industries driving change with people and culture at the forefront. In 2025 she completes 20 years of service in the GB rail industry, which is also celebrating nationwide Railway 200 – the marking of 200 years of the modern railway.
A committed advocate for employee networks she also supports several charities: a Board Trustee for Women in Rail, an Ambassador for Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse, and a Champion for White Ribbon UK.
Her determination is coupled with a strong voice, having led initiatives to raise greater awareness about domestic abuse across the rail industry including galvanising organisations to implement Hestia’s Online Safe Spaces tool on websites.
Her accolades include Women in Rail’s Inspirational Woman of the Year 2018; an MBE in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to diversity and inclusion; featured in a book celebrating Indian independence ‘75 years, 75 women, 75 words.’ Recognising her impact in creating conversations and encouraging participation through her writing, she was selected as the 2023 EMEA Region Viva Engage Community Champion by SWOOP Analytics and Microsoft.
