Bio
After struggling through school with the additional obstacle of undiagnosed dyslexia, she was told by teachers she would amount to nothing. After marrying into a family at the age of 17 who held strong beliefs in the power of education, she gained confidence and re-took her Maths GCSE while pregnant and at 21 became a nursery nurse.
After 30 years of experience working in education, she is now CEO for FPMAT, which currently consists of ten primary schools. She is both committed and honoured to be in this role and strives to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child within the Trust.
She is an Ofsted Inspector and a National Leader of Education, with a history of delivering support and improving outcomes for schools both locally and internationally, including schools in Dubai and Singapore. She holds a proven track record of improving outcomes in every school she has supported and has been awarded with an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in 2019 for her services to Education.
